World of Battles

World of Battles is a one of best free multiplayer online games, where superior strategy and cunning is the key to success. World of Battles is probably first successful game combining gameplay similar to the Total War series with aesthetics of Magic the Gathering. Set in fantasy realm of never-ending war, it’s definitely good reason why we should download it and play.

What’s inside?
War game, in a fantasy setting where up to 8 armies, each one made up of as many as 16 units (up to 30 soldiers in one unit!), clash in exciting PvP battles. In game we can buy hundreds of detailed units that during the game, and earn experience, gold needed to improve existing units and buy new units to use on the battlefield. Selection of races remind classic free multiplayer online games, so we can choose to play as Amazons, Dark Elves, Barbarians, Beast Folk, Dwarves, Elves, Knights, Orcs or the Undead, each with their own unique units and their own powers and weaknesses.

Each of these units has been designed not only to be powerful during the battle, but with nice detail that makes each one a unique virtual miniature, which remind my classic tabletop games like Warhammer Fantasy Battle. Hopefully Games Workshop will create someday, quality strategy set in Old World, to set new standards of free multiplayer online games genre.

Weapons and units
All in-game miniatures-units, can be easily upgraded with magical weapons and equipment, which can greatly increase unit’s statistics and skills and even change their appearance on the battlefield. Anyway, more than 10 completely various unit types with clear relations between them, we can choose from available units, carefully selecting those that will work best with their chosen tactics while striving to minimize our weak points and discover those of our opponents.

What is really cool, we can form alliances, and World of Battles supports an in game teaming system, which allows us to fight max 4 players in team on the battlefield and for this way obtain collective victory. Like any decent multiplayer online games World of Battles supports the creation of guilds, allowing us to join together and share in guild resources, talk on guild channel and more.

PvP is purely amazing experience, it’s the main reason why I’m playing in this game so much. Also even game is free to play with some additional options available, free players have a chances challenge paying players!

Summary
World of Battles was for a long time my favorite online strategy, especially with very active game community from all over the world. Game has a lot of pros, exciting features. World of Battles with lots of unique factions, very solid gameplay, large community and overall gaming experience is game you shouldn’t ignore. Game is awesome for everyone who loves multiplayer games and strategy!

Races available in World of Battles

Elves – Ancient and wise, but divided into elven houses, after some long ago conflict which has hardened the hearts of the city elves and their forest elf brothers. Despite conflicts between the elven houses, Elves still present a united front in war.

Orcs (and Goblins!) – Hordes of the Orcs and their Goblin, ride out from their wasteland homes to take what they need from their enemies. They are savage, strong and very aggressive, which make them hard opponent. The sound of their wardrooms blending with the howls of the orcish wolf riders and goblins riding on nasty-big spiders.

Barbarians – Anarchists, living wild and free. All barbarian tribes are traveling, taking what they want and need from the cities of the other races. Barbarians disdain the trappings of civilization as weakness, and regard city dwellers with nothing but contempt.

Dwarves – are just like in plenty free multiplayer online games, miners and craftsmen beyond compare, and while cordial enough in their dealings they show a polite disdain for all other races, whom they refer to as “the beardless. ”
Undead – Returned from beyond the veil which some day covers all life the undead hordes of the revenants exist only to feed upon the vital forces of the living. Their slow, methodical approach seems unstoppable, and on the field of battle the once-dead are capable of cleaving an armored man in half with ease.

Dark Elves – They are powerful, fanatical warriors. Dark Elves quickly gained a reputation as brutally effective shock troops. The dark elves live only to serve their dark goddess, rising from their mystical cities to spread pain and destruction. Pain means nothing; it’s a sign of their loyalty to the goddess, and they embrace it as a favor.

Knights – They knights live only for glory, and some say they have even betrayed their own allies. Knights are some of the most powerful cavalry warriors the land has ever seen, it may only become a matter of time before the knightly allies find their former allies.

Amazons – No man holds dominion over the amazons – strong and independent. In the battle they use bows and javelins, powerful enough to tear apart any battle group. The doom of more than one war unit, stupid enough to underestimate their power in battle.

Beast-folk – They are the old ones, very mysterious unique race if we are talking about multiplayer online games. Ensconced in their forests, safe from the eyes of men, the beast-folk alliance seeks nothing other than to be left in peace. They fight only for own survival and for their home.
